AN OPEN LETTER TO AFRO CENTRIC NEWS

March 1, 1998

To: Whom it may concern

From: Curtis Mullins

Subject: Freedom for Political Prisoners/Investigation into COINTELPRO

An Open letter To Political and Prisoners of Domestic War in America!

“We begin the process of freeing you, all of our political leaders who have committed no crimes or broken any laws according to the Constitution of the United States of America.

We know now(by way of Watergate Senate investigation, Rockefeller Report, Iran Contra investigation, Sen. Church’s investigation into the illegal activities of the intelligence community) that the African-American community was revoked, set up, and attacked by the intelligence community; our leaders murdered and jailed for legal political activity. Many black politicians rode the liberation struggle train to fame and fortune, but now are silent, why?

Many of you have been in jail longer than Nelson Mandela!

The reparation process begins with the demand for you release, coupled with asylum for those brother and sisters in exile outside, and inside the confines of the United States of America.

The reparation process includes the assumption of power, and control of where we go and how we get there, which is called self-determination.

To right the wrong done, we demand capital compensation for labor we were forced to perform for free in the amount of $500 trillion dollars to be used to establish those institutions to care for those damaged mentally and physically as a direct result of the slave trade; a $1 million dollar cash settlement to each descendent of an African forced to come to America against their will. Total: $535 trillion dollars!

All of our Political and prisoners of domestic war must be set free before the compensation phase of the reparations process begins.

For your information a government agent, Colin Powell, knowingly provided illegal information to the secret police on civilians while on active duty with the United States Army. This is a crime according to US law.

He was part of a network of spies from the West Indies, Africa and America who were recruited, trained, and paid to disrupt the legitimate political activity of progressive African American people. The use of government informants has resulted in the murder of may people , for example: Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, George & Jonathan Jackson, Fred Hampton and Mark Clark, and the torture and jailing of thousands here in America.

An investigation into the operation of the intelligence community and its programs, COINTELPRO and NEWKILL etc. in relation to the African American struggle for self determination, will uncover the criminal use of U.S military and civilian personal, to distribute drugs, to spy on civilians, to cause discord,. confusion, disruption of family and death in our community.

STUDY THE‘FINAL REPORT OF THE SELECT COMMITTEE TO STUDY GOV. OPERATION WITH RESPECT TO INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITIES’

Senate Report No. 755, 9th congress., 2d Session (1976); read the ’ IRAN-CONTRA’ report by Lawrence E. Welsh; Read the ‘ROCKEFELLER REPORT’ on drugs and Gov’t involvement; and the Senate investigation into the criminal activities of PRESIDENT RICHARD NIXON, read the ‘SENATE INVESTIGATION REPORT’ into the brake-in at the Watergate Hotel”

In Struggle!
